What are hemorrhoids?
Hemorrhoids are swollen veins related problems to the location of anus or lower part of the rectum which widely popular to all as piles. It can be developed inside (Internal hemorrhoids) the rectum or mostly outside (External hemorrhoids) of the anus. External hemorrhoids are more painful and irritating because of producing more nerve sensation or a lump or an extra skin tag surrounding the anus than internal hemorrhoids, even though, they cause bleeding. Report shows that anyone can affect at any time by these problems but about more than 50 percent of the individuals have faced different hemorrhoids symptoms when they are turned to middle age. Despite of having a lot of symptoms and complications, luckily, there have many options to treat these problems readily by the help of advance medical science and technology.
What are the symptoms of hemorrhoids?
Based on hemorrhoids types, symptoms are written below-
- Internal Hemorrhoid:
- Bleeding is the most common symptom which appeared on toilet tissue or the toilet bowl or in poop, just after occurring any lower rectum bowel movement.
- Produce pain and irritation while prolapsing or protruding of hemorrhoids around the anus.
- Excessive Pain particularly while sitting.
- Swelling or hard lump around the anus.
- Rectal Bleeding.
- Too much itching to the surrounding area of anus.
- Over weight or obesity
- Give excessive pressure during normal bowel movement
- Women during pregnancy which makes more pressure on the anal part veins of the body.
- Genetical or inherited reason
- Some diseases such as, Diarrhea or Chronic constipation
- Sit prolong time on the toilet
- Do weight-lifting work out or take heavy weight on regular basis
- Do anal intercourse in case of hemorrhoids present
- Intake too much rich-protein diet rather than high-fiber foods
- Strangulated Hemorrhoids
- Anemia
- Bleeding continuously
- Rectal Infection
- Skin Tags or excess skin that made by tissues and hang off outside
- sometimes Blood clot in the outer area of anus
- Physical Examination: To check physically the swollen blood vessels to the anus and rectum area.
- Digital Rectal Exam: To detect the swelling veins, doctor normally insert the lubricated finger wearing gloves.
- Anoscopy: To examine the anus and rectum, use lighted tube area only.
- Sigmoidoscopy: To clearly observe the lower part of colon and rectum, use camera holding lighted tube (sigmoidoscope). There are two types of sigmoidoscopy-Rigid sigmoidoscopy (Proctoscopy) and Flexible sigmoidoscopy.
- Colonsocopy: By using this test, diagnose the entire colon.
